Veterinary Lab Equipment IT Support in Marin County

No other IT provider in Marin County can offer this. Our vet tech background means we understand your in-house lab equipment at a clinical level — not just as hardware to plug in.

Most IT companies treat a lab analyzer like any other piece of hardware — plug it in, check the cable, move on. That approach fails constantly in veterinary practices, because in-house analyzers are not generic devices. They run on specialized calibration routines, tightly-coupled software integrations with your practice management system, and manufacturer-specific error codes that a generalist technician has never seen before.

Redwood Vet Tech is run by a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician with 14 years of hands-on clinic experience. We’ve run these machines ourselves, mid-appointment, under pressure — not just read a manual about them. That’s the difference between someone who fixes computers and someone who actually understands what happens when your Catalyst throws an error during a same-day bloodwork panel.

Supported Equipment

Analyzers & platforms we service

IDEXX

Catalyst One, Catalyst Dx, VetLab Station, ProCyte Dx, SediVue Dx, and IDEXX Cornerstone/Neo software integration. We troubleshoot connectivity between your analyzers and practice management software, calibration errors, and result-sync failures.

Abaxis / Zoetis

VetScan VS2, VetScan HM5, and other Abaxis/Zoetis in-house chemistry and hematology analyzers. We handle error code diagnosis, reagent rotor issues that present as connectivity problems, and software integration troubleshooting.

Heska

Element series chemistry and hematology analyzers, including connectivity to practice software and coordination with Heska support for hardware-level issues that need manufacturer escalation.

Digital Imaging & Other Equipment

Digital X-ray systems, ultrasound connectivity, and other in-house diagnostic equipment that needs to talk to your network and practice software reliably.

Common Issues We Resolve

What usually goes wrong — and how we fix it

Results not syncing to your practice software

The most common issue we see. We diagnose whether the break is at the analyzer, the network, or the software integration itself — instead of guessing and replacing parts that don’t need it.

Calibration and QC failures

Repeated calibration failures often point to a deeper issue than the error message suggests. We investigate root cause rather than just re-running calibration until it happens to pass.

Manufacturer error codes

We know these systems well enough to interpret error codes directly, and coordinate with the manufacturer on your behalf when a hardware-level issue needs their escalation — so you’re not stuck on hold during a busy clinic day.

Network connectivity dropouts

Analyzers that intermittently lose connection to your network are often a WiFi coverage or switch configuration issue, not a problem with the analyzer itself — something a generalist IT provider is unlikely to catch.
